    COURTHOUSE,
    April 17 – A man charged
    with selling fentanyl to an
    undercover officer in a
parking lot in the Bronx is up
    for sentencing in the U.S.
    District Court for the
    Southern District of New York
on April 13. Inner City Press
    is covering the case.

      He pled
    guilty, with a five year
    mandatory minimum. His
    sentencing memo says he was
born in Portugal in 1979 and
    grew up with a refrigerator.

      ICE
records show he entered the US
    in 2006, and became a
    naturalized US citizen in
2015. In the MDC, it says, he
    has an exemplary work history.

    The US Attorney’s
    Office countered that a
sentence of 96 months – eight
    years – is needed.

    He was sentenced
to 66 months, followed by four
    years of supervised release.

     The case is
    USA v. Barreiro, 1:25-cr-54
    (Garnett)
