Nordic Wood Industries has entered an agreement to take over HusCompagniet Production A/S, the element production unit of HusCompagniet located in Esbjerg, Denmark. The acquired activities will be operationally anchored under Roust Element, a large-scale producer of prefabricated wood-based wall and roof elements led by CEO Kasper Bregendahl. The acquisition brings all 93 employees from HusCompagniet Production into the new setup, according to Nordic Wood Industries.

The takeover expands Roust Element’s market position for wood-based elements and adds roof module sales for single-family houses.

Nordic Wood Industries CEO Holger C. Hansen stated that the two companies have maintained a close relationship for years, with Nordic Wood supplying rafters, glulam and roof modules to HusCompagniet. HusCompagniet Group CEO Martin Ravn-Nielsen confirmed that a new strategic partnership agreement will continue the cooperation between the companies.

Roust Element CEO Kasper Bregendahl cited growing demand for wood-based prefabricated elements, driven by stricter Life Cycle Assessment requirements, the green transition and the need for faster construction times. The acquired HusCompagniet factory brings advanced automation technology to the group’s production platform.
