The Minister of Defense, during his official visit to Zagreb last week, met with the President of Croatia, Zoran Milanovi?. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and reconfirming the joint commitment to maintaining peace and stability in Southeast Europe, considered a strategic priority for both countries.
“Last week, in Zagreb, I had the pleasure of meeting with Croatian President Zoran Milanovi?. We reconfirmed that preserving and strengthening peace and stability in Southeast Europe remains a common strategic priority for both our countries,” the minister said.
The Minister emphasized that cooperation in the field of defense between Albania and Croatia is further deepening, especially within the framework of NATO. He underlined the importance of developing military capacities and increasing interoperability through joint exercises, seeing this as a key element for strengthening regional security.
“Cooperation in the field of defense is being further deepened, through the development of military capacities and increased interoperability through joint exercises within NATO,” Nufi emphasized.
The Minister expressed gratitude for the continuous technical support that Croatia provides to Albania on its path towards membership in the European Union, describing this process as irreversible and necessary for the country’s future.
