Sarah Ferguson won’t be seeking the spotlight any time soon.
The former Duchess of York was photographed hiding out at a luxury resort in Austria after being stripped of her titles and evicted from Royal Lodge due to her friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.
“Incognito, anxious Fergie is keeping a low profile,” expert Helena Chard told Fox News Digital of the pictures of Ferguson.

“She cannot believe how low she has sunk, although, contrary to people’s thoughts, she is not destitute. Friends have stepped in to whisk her away from her stress,” the commentator said.
The papparazzi hadn’t caught the mother of two since September 2025, a month before King Charles III punished Ferguson and her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
“Viewed as generous to a fault, Fergie is reportedly being helped by those who are repaying the favor and helping her slip away from the press,” Chard said.
“Although Austria is known as a hotspot for wealthy patrons who host royals and ex-royals… either way, the assumption is someone else is picking up the tab,” she added.

Royal broadcaster Ian Pelham Turner claimed the 66-year-old is likely not eager to dive back into public life — especially after her former spouse was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office for allegedly giving information to Epstein while he was the U.K.’s trade envoy.
“What’s next for Fergie? She may hope to evaporate like mist whilst juggling her alleged burner phones, however, I fear she will now be under immense scrutiny,” he theorized to the publication.
“Fergie’s reputation rehab is nowhere near on the cards. Keeping her distance during Andrew’s legal heat and away from media pressure is completely tactical,” the journalist noted.
Andrew’s downfall has reportedly scared Ferguson. “She is no doubt terrified because she has seen what has happened to Andrew,” royal expert Hilary Fordwich told the outlet.

“She was aware of everything as all of her correspondence has actually proven the way she backtracked and was trying to play both sides,” Fordwich said. “Needless to say, at a minimum, authorities will want to speak to her as to what exactly she did know.”
