The Kremlin confirmed that no final decision has yet been made regarding the participation of Vladimir Putin in the upcoming G20 summit. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that “the format of Russia’s participation in the summit will be finalized closer to the event,” reflecting ongoing geopolitical complexities surrounding Moscow’s international engagements.

Peskov emphasized that Russia continues its work within the G20 framework and clarified that there are no new initiatives to increase oil production through OPEC+ despite the implications of the Strait of Hormuz blockade. He noted that Russia is maintaining its oil supplies amid the global energy crisis, as demand rises while available volumes on the international market decline. According to the Kremlin, Moscow is playing a role in stabilizing energy markets and mitigating the impact of the ongoing crisis.

On broader political issues, Peskov stated that demands from the European Union are aimed at straining Serbia’s relationship with Russia. He added that the peoples of Eurasia remain committed to their values and seek to preserve their independence. The Kremlin also indicated that it will announce the guest list for the upcoming Victory Day parade in Moscow in due course.
