Jokubas Mostavicius, who played for the Lake Region/Fryeburg Academy/Oxford Hills co-op boys hockey team the past two seasons, will suit up for Lithuania at the Under-18 Division I Group B world championship.

Mostavicius, a senior at Fryeburg Academy, will represent his home country in the tournament that begins Saturday and runs through May 1 in Tallinn, Estonia.

With the Ice Cats this season, the forward recorded 17 goals and 10 assists in 15 games and was named to the Maine Class A Coaches Association’s first team. Mostavicius notched 23 points (12 goals, 11 assists) in his junior season.

Lithuania opens the six-team tournament against France on Saturday. Division I Group B is the third level of international hockey, and the winner of this tournament earns promotion to Division I Group A for 2027. The last-place team drops to Division II.
