The first two rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft are in the books, and as expected, the Las Vegas Raiders took Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick on Thursday. But there were some surprises, including Carnell Tate going to the Tennessee Titans at No. 4. Tate was one of four Buckeyes to go in the top 11 picks, with the defensive trio of Arvell Reese (Giants at No. 5), Sonny Styles (Commanders at No. 7) and Caleb Downs (Cowboys at No. 11) also getting drafted.
On Friday night, Rounds 2 and 3 kept rolling in Pittsburgh. Things got off to an emotional start as Kayden McDonald’s long wait in the green room ended when he was selected by the Houston Texans with the fourth pick in the second round. Elsewhere around the league, the Falcons kept it in the family by drafting cornerback Avieon Terrell, whose older brother A.J. is on the team. And after the Steelers missed out on Makai Lemon during the first round, they drafted Alabama receiver Germie Bernard, trading with the Indianapolis Colts to move up from the No. 53 pick to the No. 47 selection.
