The Jaguars didn’t let the rest of the first half pass quietly. Around the 29-minute mark, Adrianna Hayes found the back of the net, and Spain Park was in possession of a 3-0 advantage.
The Huskies’ one goal of the contest was scored in the waning moments of the first half. Baileigh Rumage scored at the 39:10 mark, capping off the career of one of the program’s most accomplished players.
Spain Park (8-8-4, 4-2 Class 6A, Area 8) has advanced to the second round of the playoffs with the win. The Jaguars will take on Northridge in the second round. The date and time has not yet been announced.
Helena’s (14-6-1, 6-0 Class 6A, Area 7) season has come to an end following the loss.
