John Byrne, Gavin Thomson and Alex Knight represented their country at the 6 Nations Padel Masters, where Scotland finished top of the podium following a strong series of performances.

    The trio played key roles throughout the competition, with Scotland coming out on top against teams including hosts Estonia and Wales to claim the title.

    The result marks a significant achievement for both the players and the growing padel scene in the west of Scotland.

    Club members have praised the trio’s efforts, with congratulations pouring in following the victory.

    The 6 Nations Padel Masters is an invitational team event for veteran and senior players from a group of European nations, including Scotland, Ireland, England, Wales and the host country

    Teams are selected by their national padel associations and compete over a weekend in a series of doubles rubbers, with overall victory based on the combined results.

    This year’s edition was staged in Estonia over the weekend of April 25-26, with Tallinn welcoming squads from across the 6 Nations group.

    West of Scotland Padel Club is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit charity based in Stevenston, with three state-of-the-art indoor courts and a mission to make padel accessible to the community.
