The government says it has executed about half of the projects designated for fast-track implementation under the 26-point-two trillion won supplementary budget.

On Thursday, Vice Minister of Planning and Budget Lim Ki-geun chaired a meeting of relevant ministries to review the execution of this year’s supplementary and main budgets.

According to the ministry, projects worth ten-point-five trillion won were designated for expedited execution and 47 percent or five trillion won has been executed.

The government aims to execute 85 percent of these projects in the first half of the year.

Of the four-point-eight trillion won allocated for fuel price relief payments, 80 percent, or three-point-eight trillion won, has been disbursed to local governments.

For the public transportation rebate program, 677 billion won, or 35-point-six percent of the one-thousand-904 trillion won budget, has been distributed to local governments.
