Prime Minister Mark Carney announced Thursday the multinational defence bank would be headquartered in Canada, calling it “good news, but not the end of a process.” The prime minister said the bank would provide financing for defence projects by NATO members and allies, adding that the core of its mission would be to finance the private sector as it helps to build out Canada and focus on “our defence capacity.”
