Commanders report no imminent threat from Belarus while border units watch for Russian redeployments. Vigilant drone-equipped defenses aim to prevent a 2022-style incursion.

Belarus does not intend to fight Ukraine and does not expect escalation from Russia from its territory, as happened in 2022. Currently, in the relevant directions, serious units of the Defense Forces operate with a strong unmanned component.

“I don’t believe this at all (a potential invasion from Belarus – ed.). Belarusians will not fight us. As for the Russians – I can say that we track everything quickly. There won’t be anything like in 2022 when they managed to tie up our forces at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Now in those directions there are serious units with a powerful unmanned component. We see everything. Even with the help of sabotage and reconnaissance groups the enemy basically cannot do anything.”

He stressed that similar situations had previously been recorded in Chernihiv and Sumy regions, but they were stabilized.

“One thing is clear: the Russians currently have no forces to capture Sumy region. They have allocated all forces to Pokrovsk, to Donetsk, and thought they could push us. They did not push through! The same on the Zaporizhzhia direction. They attempted to attack, but units of the Air Assault Forces were able to neutralize them”

    – said the commander

According to the State Border Guard Service spokesperson Andriy Demchenko, Ukrainian border guards do not record movements of equipment or troops toward the border on Belarusian territory. The Transnistrian direction remains one of the security priorities.

Experts and official representatives emphasize the importance of vigilant monitoring of the situation and coordination of actions with allies to ensure the security of border regions.
