With Finland taking to the stage today for first rehearsals, Yle has revealed the designers behind their representatives’ outfits.
Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen will be wearing new outfits for their performance at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Compared to UMK both performers outfits have undergone small changes. Linda’s outfit is now more translucent, with the corset covered with rehinestone netting and glittering tulle, she will also wear silver boots. Pete is now wearing a translucent silk chiffon shirt and wool satin trousers.
Teemu Muurimäki is the designer behind Linda and Pete’s looks for the competition, having designed them specifically for Eurovision. Pete’s outfit was created by Elviira Medel, while Linda Lampenius’s was created by seamstress Jaana Björklund.
inda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen were selected to represent Finland at Eurovision 2026 after winning UMK 2026. They won both the jury and public votes, and broke the record for the highest score ever received from the public vote and overall. They will perform seventh in Semi-Final One on May 12. Finland first participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961. They debuted alongside Spain and Yugoslavia. Finland has finished last in the contest on 10 occasions and has received ‘nul points’ three times. It wasn’t until 2006 that Finland won the Eurovision Song Contest. Lordi represented the country in Athens with the song “Hard Rock Hallelujah” scoring 292 points, a record total at the time.
