    “I noted that Finland supports Ukraine and understands its defense capabilities. However, it is unacceptable that Finland’s airspace is being violated and that drones are entering our airspace,” said Orpo.

    According to him, the authorities have full information regarding the incident on the night of May 3 and view the airspace violation as a serious matter. At the same time, he emphasized that Finland possesses sufficient capabilities to monitor and defend its airspace, which are planned to be strengthened in the near future.

    Orpo added that, following contacts at the level of state leadership, he expects the Ukrainian side to exercise greater caution to ensure that similar incidents do not recur. He also emphasized that while complete protection against drones does not exist, the situation is under control.

    During the meeting, Zelenskyy proposed conclude a bilateral agreement in the “Drone Deal” format to strengthen cooperation in the field of drones and defense technologies.
