Heimir Hallgrimsson says he will work with League of Ireland managers to get home-based players on to the international stage as he’s close to getting his plans for a January international camp for LOI footballers over the line.
Despite calls from Shamrock Rovers manager Stephen Bradley for Victor Ozhianvuna to be promoted to the senior squad for next month’s 10-day training camp in Spain, and a friendly against Grenada, Hallgrimsson opted not to call up any LOI players to his 21-man squad.
