This project has been celebrated for 40 years, and this year’s theme underscores the fundamental role of museums as spaces for connection, especially in complex times. It is also an invitation to remember that museums operate year-round, in every city and community, and constitute a stable cultural anchor even when there are no special events—and perhaps precisely then—as a quiet space for observation, inspiration, and the strengthening of a sense of belonging and identity. As part of the Museum DayThe various museums will offer a variety of unique activities: exhibitions, guided tours and special workshops, talks in the galleries, access to new exhibitions and unique pieces, special activities for children, creative workshops, and much more.
