Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday that he is the sole figure responsible for Israel’s state security, even though he had consistently refused to take responsibility for the failures that led up to the October 7, 2023 attack by Hamas on southern Israel and has instead chosen to shift it to the Israel Defense Forces and the Shin Bet security service.
