ST. CLOUD — The Public Health Departments of Benton, Sherburne and Stearns Counties want to form a joint collaborative agreement to receive Minnesota Department of Health Innovation and Infrastructure Grant funds, which would total $400,000 over two years. Benton County has agreed to serve as the fiscal agent and grant manager on behalf of the three-county region, which will be subject to a vote of Stearns County commissioners during their meeting Tuesday, May 12.
According to
the commissioners also will:
- Decide whether or not Tobacco Control Ordinance No. 704 should be amended. At a meeting on April 21, the commissioners expressed concerns regarding the minimum clerk age requirement as well as potential coupons and price promotion items within the proposed ordinance.
- Discuss updating the Quarry Park & Nature Preserve master plan.
The Stearns County Board of Commissioners meets every second and fourth Tuesday at 9 a.m. at 705 Courthouse Square, St. Cloud.
