“Enlargement is essential for
both the European Union and the candidate countries,” said North
Macedonian Foreign Minister Timčo Mucunski upon his arrival at
the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels. “It ensures that the
Western Balkans are no longer a grey area in Europe, but a group
of countries with a clear path to accession.” “My country has
achieved, especially in recent months, very concrete reforms
regarding the implementation of the reform agenda; we are
completely aligned with the EU’s Common Foreign and Security
Policy, both in terms of tangible reforms and strategic
perspectives,” he stated.
