The Chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, together with former president, Vjosa Osmani, today met with teachers in the Dardania neighborhood in Pristina.

Abdixhiku said that during the meeting with them, they discussed school and its challenges, and added that teachers, in addition to knowledge, also build character, culture, and citizenship.

“Kosovo needs to make education a true national priority. With more support for teachers, better conditions in schools, and the dignity that the noble profession of teaching deserves,” he wrote, among other things.

    Post:

We drink our afternoon coffee at Dardania, with our teachers.

With people of the noblest profession, who every day, far from the noise and fuss, shoulder one of the greatest responsibilities of our society, the education of new generations.

We talked about school, the challenges of education, the daily fatigue, but also the love they have for their profession. Because a teacher doesn’t just build knowledge. He builds character, culture, citizenship, and the future of a country.

We also talked about the Jehona reform, as a national education model.

Kosovo needs to make education a true national priority. With more support for teachers, better conditions in schools, and the dignity that the noble profession of teaching deserves.

Because where the teacher is respected, the future is built.
