Bajraktari thanks Congressman Self for his support for Kosovo

Albanian activist in the US, Harry Bajraktari, has expressed gratitude to US Congressman Keith Self for his support for Kosovo and its aspiration for NATO membership, describing this as the safest path towards peace and stability in the Balkans.

In a reaction on Facebook, Bajraktari emphasized that during a session of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Congressman Self called for increased diplomatic pressure on NATO countries that have not yet recognized Kosovo’s independence, and warned of increasing Russian influence in the region.

He also announced that in the same session, the initiative to name the US Embassy building in Pristina after Congressman Eliot Engel, whom he described as a great friend of Albanians, was supported.

Bajraktari assessed that Kosovo is at an important historical moment and called on the country’s leaders to seize this opportunity to advance towards Euro-Atlantic integration.
