KUWAIT: Kuwait’s Ambassador to Ireland Mohammed Al-Mohammed has presented his credentials to President Halla Tómasdóttir as Kuwait’s non-resident ambassador to Iceland, the Kuwaiti Embassy in Ireland said in a statement received by Kuwait News Agency on Thursday. The credential ceremony took place on Wednesday at the presidential palace in Reykjavik.

    During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Mohammed conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to the Icelandic president, along with their wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Iceland and its friendly people.

    Both sides praised the distinguished relations between Kuwait and Iceland, stressing the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation across various fields in a way that serves the mutual interests of both countries and their peoples. For her part, President Tómasdóttir conveyed her greetings to His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince, and wished the Kuwaiti ambassador success in his duties, expressing hope for further development of bilateral relations at all levels. — KUNA
