According to statements published by Zelenskyy on Facebook on May 16, Ukrainian forces struck multiple Russian military targets over the past week, including air defense systems, aircraft, logistics infrastructure, and oil-related facilities.

“We have hits on the Be-200 amphibious aircraft, the Ka-27 helicopter, a dry cargo ship carrying ammunition, the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system, the Tor anti-aircraft missile system, the Redut-2US communications complex, drones, and much more,” Zelenskyy said.

The Ukrainian president added that “most of the operations are still ongoing,” noting that the released footage did not include all results from the campaign.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukrainian long-range strikes also targeted Russian oil infrastructure and vessels at distances approaching 1,000 kilometers from the frontline.

“These are absolutely justified responses to what the Russians are doing,” Zelenskyy said. “We will increase both the distance and the number of these sanctions.”

Ukraine has increasingly expanded its long-range strike campaign against military and energy-related targets inside Russia since 2024. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, such operations are aimed at reducing Russia’s military capabilities and disrupting logistics supporting Moscow’s war effort.

Earlier, Ukrainian forces liberated the village of Odradne in the Kharkiv region, with the 129th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade and the 16th Army Corps reporting that nearly 22 square kilometers of territory were retaken during coordinated assault operations involving infantry, drones, and artillery.
