ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -Affinia Healthcare held free health screenings for survivors of the May 16 tornado and community members on Saturday.

The event was held at Williams Temple Church of God in Christ on Dr. Martin Luther King Drive.

The event offered A1C screenings, blood pressure and Medicaid enrollment assistance.

In addition to the screenings, there were free groceries, personal hygiene products and more.

“Being in the community, seeing the mental health impacts, seeing the financial impact that individuals are suffering. So, just being in the community, you are able to see the need,” said Dr. Kendra Holmes with Affinia Healthcare.
