President Lee Jae Myung and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi have agreed that peace and stability in the Middle East must be swiftly restored.
Lee disclosed their conclusion during a joint press statement released after his summit with Takaichi in his hometown of Andong, North Gyeongsang Province.
On the basis of that shared view, he said the two countries will review the results of the Supply Chain Partnership Arrangement they adopted in March and will further expand cooperation in supply chains.
Lee added that based on another accord clinched in March, Seoul and Tokyo will expand cooperation in liquefied natural gas while stepping up efforts to share information and strengthen communication channels on crude oil stockpiles and related supply and demand trends.
