A new fast ferry route linking the Crikvenica Riviera with several key destinations across the Kvarner region is set to launch this summer, improving connections between the mainland coast and northern Adriatic islands.

The new seasonal service will begin operating on 24 June and run until 30 August, connecting Kraljevica, Crikvenica, Senj, Baška on the island of Krk, Lopar on Rab and the town of Rab.

Initially, the route will operate four mornings per week from Kraljevica, with return departures from Rab in the afternoon. From 10 July, the line will switch to a daily schedule during the peak summer season.

The new route, described as a “Kvarner bridge”, aims to provide faster and more convenient travel between some of the region’s most popular tourist destinations. Passengers will be able to make day trips and weekend journeys while avoiding heavy summer road traffic along the Croatian coast.

The line also offers travellers a scenic sea journey beneath the Velebit mountain range and through the Senj Gate, one of the northern Adriatic’s best-known maritime passages.

Ticket prices for a one-way journey from Kraljevica to Baška, Lopar or Rab will cost €25. Fares for routes including Senj to Rab and Baška to Rab will be €15, while shorter trips such as Kraljevica to Crikvenica or Baška to Lopar will cost €10.

Tickets will be available onboard the vessel as well as online through the official Jadrolinija website and mobile application.

The service will be operated by the catamaran Silba, a passenger vessel with a capacity of 310 travellers, designed for fast and comfortable coastal journeys.

The new connection is expected to strengthen tourism mobility across the Kvarner region during the busy summer months, while offering visitors an alternative way to explore Croatia’s northern Adriatic coastline and islands.
