They are Ostmark (bank notes of the former German Democratic Republic), basically Commie Marks.
A souvenir from old times and not worth anything anymore.
185 Ostmark, that’s 46.25 €, 92.50 DM or 925 Ostmark on the black market /s
Thes are in really excellent condition. Keep them, maybe you can donate them to a Museum in Like 20-30 years.
How much job did you make for him?
This is a complete set of banknotes from the former GDR. A compete set like this is worth about 30-40 € if you find a collector willing to buy them.
Frame them and thats all.
Give them to me. Especially the one with Karl Marx 😄
5 Mark – Thomas Müntzer
10 Mark – Clara Zetkin
20 Mark – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
50 Mark – Friedrich Engels
100 Mark – Karl Marx
They are just called Mark. Not Ostmark (which would be the Nazi German term for Austria :D). Like everybody said, thats the money of the DDR/GDR. You cant exchange those anymore, thats stuff for collectors. There are some collectors for Mark, cause thats a comparatively small field to collect.
>> I have no idea what they are<<
And Google did not tell you….?
I recommend seeking advice from someone knowledgeable in numismatics (the study of coins) to get a clearer picture of this.
At first glance, the banknots appear to be in very good condition.
Das ist Währung der deutschen demokratischen Republik
Thats really cool
The value of banknotes as collection items is strongly tied to their status. Uncirculated banknotes are always preferred. These seem to be in great condition although they don’t seem uncirculated.
Hundert Marx
The old DDR (GDR/East-Germany) currency in very good condition.
