KBS has picked up 17 honors at the 47th Telly Awards, a global competition that marks excellence in video and television across all screens.
KBS announced on Friday that it won gold Telly Awards in the drama, investigative reporting and sports categories.
The broadcaster also took home ten silver and four bronze awards in various categories, including animation, documentary, environment and climate, video journalism, live events and education.
KBS said the latest feat demonstrates that its programs have gained global recognition for their reflection of South Korea’s social and cultural values, as well as for the quality of their content.
Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards receive more than 13-thousand entries every year from six continents and all 50 U.S. states.
