St. Marys resident Jake Stanisch is one step away from completing a long held goal: completing the Grand Slam Turkey Hunt.
The Grand Slam consists of harvesting all four of the turkey sub-species in North America: The Eastern, The Osceola, The Merriam, and the Rio Grande. Stanisch has harvested all but the Rio Grande. See the May 23 edition of The Ridgway Record for more details.
