
There have been many posts about the reform relating to the STF and the end of the Court of Auditors’ prior visa. And honestly, it seems to me that the overwhelming majority of comments are limited to slogans like “they want to legalize corruption”, without much effort to discuss the concrete merits of the measure.
I leave here Daniel Oliveira’s intervention in this week’s Axis of Evil, because I think he articulates the argument in favor of this reform very well. Daniel Oliveira can hardly be accused of sympathizing with this government.
I would also add that I myself am not a PSD member, I never voted for PSD, and I have an overall negative assessment of this government. But I think it’s important to evaluate each policy on its specific merit, and in this case it seems like a positive reform.
