MÁV finance leadership has changed at Hungarian state railway group MÁV. The change comes within a broader management restructuring launched by the Ministry of Transport and Investments. This is reported by the railway transport news portal Railway Supply.
On 19 May, the ministry acted as the owner’s representative. It removed Dányi Gábor Zoltán from his position as MÁV Zrt. deputy CEO for finance with immediate effect, according to MÁV Csoport.
Krisztina Bakos takes over the finance division
MÁV described the change as closing one operational phase. It also said the change begins a new management structure with a stronger focus on transport operations.
Krisztina Bakos has been appointed to lead the finance division. She will continue in her current role as chief controlling officer. According to Rail Market, she has held senior management positions within the group for several years.
The Ministry of Transport and Investments has also started a wider review of MÁV Csoport. The review also covers other state-owned companies in its portfolio. The ministry said further management changes cannot be ruled out as the process continues.
