PARIS: France recorded its hottest day in May on Monday, its weather agency said, forecasting that Tuesday would be even warmer.
“Across France as a whole, Monday was the hottest day recorded for the month of May since measurements began,” the agency said.
Forecasters said highs of 33°C to 36°C in regions were expected, adding that spell was likely to last at least until the end of the week.
