    The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Russian ambassador over statements from Moscow threatening foreign personnel in Ukraine. reported Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide, according to the ministry’s website.

    The Russian ambassador met with the head of the Security Policy Department at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Norwegian side condemned the large-scale Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of May 24.

    “Russia is behind large-scale drone attacks as well as the first use of the ‘Oreshnik’ missile against Kyiv. This is unacceptable,” stated the Norwegian Foreign Minister.

    According to Eide, he and the Prime Minister of Norway publicly condemned these strikes.

    After a massive attack by Moscow on the night of May 24 involving by using“Oreshnik” missiles, Russia threatened new strikes …on Kyiv and urged foreign diplomats to leave the city immediately.

    Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi suggested, that Russia’s new threats could point to alcoholism on the part of Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, to desperation, or to a lack of creativity, given that such threats have been voiced repeatedly since 2022.

    European Union Ambassador to Kyiv Katarína Mathernová expressed herself, that Moscow’s statements are a “sign of desperation”.

    China also commented on the statements by the Russian Foreign Ministry and called upon towards de-escalation.

    In Poland, in response to threats stated, that every instance of a strike on Polish diplomatic missions would be regarded as a targeted and deliberate act.
