The collapse of a structure at the Seosomun Overpass demolition site has disrupted train service.
The Korea Railroad Corporation(KORAIL) said the disaster caused a power outage on the overhead lines, which then led to serious disruptions, including the suspension of train service.
The agency said traffic is currently suspended in both directions on the section linking Seoul and Susaek stations on the Gyeongui-Jungang line.
KORAIL urged commuters to check its website before opting for train service and use other means of public transportation in the meantime.
