South Korean prosecutors are set to investigate Unification Minister Chung Dong-young over allegations that he disclosed confidential information about a suspected North Korean nuclear site.

“The complaint filed against [Chung] was transferred to us from the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office,” a spokesperson for the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office told NK News on Friday.

The criminal complaint accuses the minister of leaking official secrets, the spokesperson said, without revealing who filed the complaint.

While local media reported the prosecutors’ office has officially launched the probe, the official did not confirm this. Seoul’s Unification Ministry told NK News on Friday
