    A delegation from Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence Military Police Department has visited Vilnius as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral defence cooperation with Lithuania.

    The visit was led by Major General Elgun Aliyev, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Internal Security and Investigations at the Ministry of Defence and Head of the Military Police Department, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.

    During the trip, the Azerbaijani delegation toured the Lithuanian Military Police headquarters, where they were briefed on organisational structures, command systems, and day-to-day operational procedures.

    Lithuanian officials also outlined the role of their Military Police in both peacetime and wartime, including its functions within NATO frameworks.

    Discussions between the two sides focused on the current state of Azerbaijani–Lithuanian defence relations and prospects for future cooperation. Particular attention was given to professional training, experience-sharing, and expanding joint activities between the two military institutions.
