ISLAMABAD, May 29 (APP):Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani on Friday extended his warm felicitations to the leadership, parliament, government, and people of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of their National Day.
In an official message, the Chairman Senate emphasised the deep-rooted, historic, and brotherly ties shared between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
He said that the bilateral relationship is built on a solid foundation of mutual respect, shared cultural values, and common perspectives on regional and international issues, said a news release issued here.
On the occasion, Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani also wrote a special letter to his Azerbaijani counterpart, Sahiba Gafarova, extending his heartfelt greetings.
In his letter, the Chairman expressed his best wishes for her health and happiness, as well as for the continued progress of Azerbaijan.
Gillani lauded Azerbaijan’s remarkable progress and development over the decades.
He expressed confidence that parliamentary diplomacy between the two countries would continue to play a pivotal role in strengthening strategic cooperation, enhancing trade relations, and fostering deeper people-to-people connections.
Gillani concluded his message with prayers for the continued peace, prosperity, and progress of the brotherly people of Azerbaijan, reiterating Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to further elevating bilateral partnership to new heights.
