The U.S. State Department’s point person for Korea discussed North Korea policy and bilateral security cooperation with officials in Seoul this week, including consultations related to South Korea’s planned development of a nuclear-powered submarine.
Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker met Jeong Yeon-doo, the director-general for strategy and intelligence at South Korea’s Foreign Ministry, on Tuesday as part of her three-day trip.
