The U.S. State Department announced on Friday its approval of substantial arms sales to Denmark and Britain, amounting to more than $1 billion in deals.
Denmark is set to receive joint air-to-surface standoff missiles and accompanying equipment valued at $842 million. This transaction is designed to bolster Denmark’s defense capabilities.
In a separate agreement, Britain will purchase infrared countermeasures worth $160 million, intended to enhance the protection of their large aircraft. Lockheed Martin and Boeing have been identified as the primary contractors for these international sales.
