Minister of Labor Hassan Raddad discussed on Sunday, June 7, 2026, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in labor, employment, and human resources development during a meeting with Olta Manjani, Albania’s Deputy Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 114th session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva, Switzerland.
The two sides explored opportunities for cooperation in providing skilled Egyptian workers to meet the needs of the Albanian labor market, highlighting Egypt’s qualified professionals and extensive expertise across a wide range of economic and productive sectors.
The meeting also addressed the importance of finalizing the proposed memorandum of understanding between the two countries, which aim to establish an institutional framework for cooperation in labor affairs and the regulation of workforce mobility.
The agreements are expected to serve mutual interests and open new avenues for bilateral collaboration.
In addition, both sides discussed cooperation in training, skills development, and the accreditation of occupational safety and health certificates through coordination between relevant institutions in both countries.
They emphasized the importance of leveraging specialized expertise and distinguished training centers to enhance workforce capabilities and meet the evolving demands of modern labor markets.
During the meeting, Raddad reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment, under the directives of its political leadership, to strengthening cooperation with friendly countries in the fields of employment, training, and skills development.
He also stressed the importance of opening new labor markets for qualified Egyptian workers, supporting development efforts, and creating decent employment opportunities for Egyptian youth.
Both sides underscored the importance of maintaining coordination and communication in the coming period to advance joint cooperation initiatives, reflecting the depth of relations between the two countries and serving the shared interests of their friendly peoples.
