Kosovo has returned to victory, defeating Andorra with a score of 3:0 in a friendly match held at the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium in Pristina.
The evening was filled with emotions, as before the start of the match, a minute of silence was held in honor of the footballer Fatjon Bunjaku, who tragically lost his life. As a sign of respect for his memory, our players dedicated the goals and the victory of this match to him.
The Dardanians dominated the game from the start, controlling possession and the pace of the match. However, the lead goal came in the 41st minute, when Fisnik Asllani scored from a free kick. The ball initially hit the post and then ended up in the net after hitting the opposing goalkeeper.
The first half ended with Kosovo’s minimal lead, while Franco Foda’s team sealed the victory with two more goals.
In the 52nd minute, Albion Rrahmani scored from the penalty spot to make it 2:0. After the goals, he and Asllani raised their shirts with Fatjon Bunjaku’s name on them, dedicating their achievements to the late footballer.
The third and final goal of the match came in the 77th minute. Valmir Matoshi scored the first goal for Kosovo, heading in after a good move by the Dardanians.
Until the end, the result remained unchanged and Kosovo ended this friendly match with a victory, which will be remembered not only for the triumph on the field, but also for the special honor dedicated to Fatjon Bunjak.
Our national team will return to action in September, when it will begin its Nations League challenges with the match against Ireland.
