Spokane, Wash. — Team Egypt arrived in the Lilac City as the group got ready for its first World Cup match in Seattle.
Video the Pharaohs posted on their social media showed the team’s trip from Africa to Spokane in a 40-second clip. The post highlighted fan excitement around Egypt’s 2026 appearance, which marked the team’s first World Cup qualifier since 2018 and its third appearance dating back to 1990.

The video shows players dressed up as they boarded the plane and again as they got off in Spokane. It ended with the team arriving at Northern Quest Resort and Casino, where fans waved flags and drums played.
Egypt practiced in Spokane this week at Gonzaga. Wednesday’s practice was open to the public, but only for people selected through a drawing.
Team Egypt’s first game was set for June 15 against Belgium in Seattle.
