Thornburg Investment Management has announced the expansion of its agreement with Capital Strategies Partners to incorporate the distribution of its UCITS funds in Spain, Portugal, and Andorra. With this move, the global manager —which manages 59,000 million dollars in assets— strengthens its presence in the Iberian peninsula relying on a collaboration that was already underway in Italy and the Middle East.
The extension of the alliance will allow Capital Strategies to support the distribution of Thornburg’s UCITS range among institutional investors, wealth managers, and intermediaries in the three markets. According to the firm, this decision responds to the growing interest of professional investors in differentiated active management strategies with a focus on sustainable long-term results.
Thornburg emphasizes that Spain, Portugal, and Andorra are becoming increasingly relevant places for international managers, in a context marked by the evolution of customer needs, a greater search for diversification, and the demand for solutions capable of adapting to a more complex market environment.
An offer focused on global equity and fixed income
Thornburg’s UCITS platform includes a selection of global equity and fixed income strategies, designed to provide diversification and solid results throughout the different market cycles. The manager bases its investment process on an upward fundamental analysis, combined with a generalist view, and emphasizes valuation discipline, risk management, and long-term capital appreciation.
The expansion in Iberia is part of Thornburg’s broader international strategy, which in recent times has also contemplated the opening of an office in London and the continued development of alliances in Europe and the Middle East.
