GREECE, N.Y. — The Town of Greece has hired outside attorneys to lead an internal investigation into Police Chief Michael Wood.

Supervisor Jeff McCann said Laurie Vahey of Vahey Law Offices and former Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard Resnick will conduct the independent review.

Wood was placed on administrative leave on May 22 after the town got a State Police report with allegations involving Deputy Chief Naser Zenelovic. McCann says Wood hired Zenelovic in February 2022.
