Showers are expected to continue through Thursday night in the capital area, as well as Gangwon Province in the east and North Chungcheong Province in the central region.
The Korea Meteorological Administration has urged the public to be aware that heavy rains of around 20 millimeters per hour are forecast for the northeastern part of Gyeonggi Province and the Gangwon region.
Sunny skies are projected nationwide on Friday, though showers of up to ten millimeters accompanied by thunder and lightning, as well as hail, are expected throughout the central and northern parts of Gangwon Province starting in the afternoon.
Morning low temperatures across the country will range between 12 and 18 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs peaking between 26 and 30 degrees.
The temperature in Seoul will hover around 16 degrees on Friday morning and warm up to a high of 26 degrees in the afternoon.
