WSSU Singing Rams headed to Austria for Music and Cultural Tour
INTERNSHIPS, AND HANDS ON LEARNING EXPERIENCES. CONGRATULATIONS TO TRAVIS REEVES. THE SINGING RAMS OF WINSTON-SALEM STATE UNIVERSITY ARE HEADED OVERSEAS TO SHOWCASE THEIR TALENTS ON AN INTERNATIONAL STAGE. MARY MARY, THE SCHOOL’S CHOIR, IS AMONG JUST FOUR COLLEGIATE VOCAL GROUPS SELECTED FOR THE 2026 MUSIC AND CULTURAL TOUR IN VIENNA, AUSTRIA. R AUSTRIA SHOULD SAY THEIR. THE GROUP WILL PERFORM THE AMERICAN MUSIC PORTION OF THE SHOW, GIVING THE STUDENTS A CHANCE TO SHARE AFRICAN AMERICAN MUSICAL TRADITIONS WITH A GLOBAL AUDIENCE. WE ATTENDED THE SINGING RAMS FINAL REHEARSAL BEFORE THEIR BIG TRIP TO AUSTRIA AND SPOKE WITH RISING SENIOR DESTINEE HARRIS, AN EDUCATION MAJOR. THAT WAS WHAT REALLY INSPIRED ME, WAS MY MOM AND HER LOVE AND HOW MUCH SHE POURED INTO HER STUDENTS THROUGH LEARNING, AND I LOVE MUSIC AS WELL. I WAS RAISED IN CHURCH, SO IT’S BEEN ESSENTIAL TO WHO I AM AS A PERSON. SO WHY NOT COMBINE THE TWO THINGS I LOVE THE MOST AND RUN WITH IT? THE WSU SINGING RAMS BOARD A FLIGHT TO AUSTRIA
