Welcome wandering souls to this new episode of Board Game Pizza, the cyclical thread on board games and RPGs.

Whether you are an experienced player or a novice or someone who knows nothing about this world, you are welcome.

I would like this thread to be used to make small reviews, ask for opinions or advice, even clarifications on an unclear part of the rules or why not, look for companions for a DnD campaign or to play some online board games.

Don’t be afraid to ask, the expert players are here to help and if I can, in my small way I will try to help too.

    GAME OF THE MONTH

    [Battle Flips](https://www.asmodee.it/product/battle-flips/)

I tried this game thinking it was a filler, but it turned out to be one of the most pleasant surprises of recent times. The mechanism is simple but damn engaging: you choose a category, everyone thinks of a secret word belonging to the category, writes their own word from 2 to 7 letters on their nameplate and then starts to guess the opponent’s by suggesting letters, one at a time per player, but with the risk of revealing their own too! In fact, if you ask your opponent if a given letter is present in his word, but you also have that letter, then you will have to reveal it in turn, a nice twist where you want to reveal as many of your opponent’s letters as possible but without helping him too much.

Matches last about 15 minutes, which means you inevitably end up with the classic "come on, another one!" and you find yourself playing for an hour without even realizing it.

It is perfect for two players, which makes it ideal for taking it anywhere: on the beach under the umbrella, in a refuge after a nice walk in the mountains, on the balcony of an apartment on holiday or even simply on a lunch break. The travel bag included in the package is a detail that makes it clear that this game was designed specifically to be on the go, in fact every little trip I take I always carry it with me.

Well-finished components, erasable markers, zero setup: open and play. Recommended for ages 8 and up, but believe me adults have at least as much fun as the younger ones.
