ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) — Men across South Georgia will have the opportunity to receive free health screenings and wellness resources during Phoebe’s annual Men’s Health Fair on Saturday, June 20.
The event, themed “Stay in the Game: Screen. Prevent. Win.”, will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at the Albany State University West Gym, located at 2400 Gillionville Road.
Free health screenings will be available from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Organizers say the event is designed to encourage men of all ages to take a proactive approach to their health through early detection and preventive care.
Screenings will include:
- Prostate cancer screenings
- Blood pressure checks
- Glucose checks
- Cholesterol screenings
- HIV and syphilis testing
The annual community event aims to increase awareness about the importance of routine health screenings, which can help identify health concerns before they become more serious.
The health fair is free and open to the public. Organizers encourage men throughout Southwest Georgia to attend and take advantage of the available screenings and health information.
