As for the power category, that manifested in 18 extra-base hits. Of those, 10 were doubles, three were triples and five went yard for home runs. Those boosted his slugging percentage up to .648 and combined with his on-base percentage for a 1.171 OPS.
Each of those numbers were toward the top of the county, or in the case of his 48 hits, the most in Shelby County.
All-around excellence across the entirety of Spain Park’s season elevated Greb to an essential part of the Jags order. It also netted him a slew of individual honors, including a North-South All-Star selection and both All-State and All-County First Team nods.
Now, he can add Shelby County Hitter of the Year to that haul as he prepares for one more season in the black, blue and white before heading to Auburn.
