A Romeoville business owner recently made another donation to enhance STEM programs at Valley View School District 365U.
Mohammed Qurashi has secured an ExxonMobil donation for 14 consecutive years, according to a news release from Valley View School District 365U.
Qurashi is the owner and president of the Romeoville Mobil station located at 135th Street and Illinois Route 53.
In each year of the last 14 years, Qurashi has donated $500 to math and science programs in Valley View schools on behalf of the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Program, according to the release.
The 2026 beneficiary is A.Vito Martinez Middle School in Romeoville. Principal Bill Normand accepted the donation on behalf of the school.
The school will use the donation to enhance its STEM program and activities.
Since the inception of the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Program ExxonMobil has committed more than $40 million to support STEM programs across the United States.
